The conference focused on what policies need to be in place to ensure that artificial intelligence, virtual reality, 3D Printing, and the internet of things are used for social good. Members of Congress, staffers, public interest groups, and industry leaders gathered to discuss policy solutions that would positively impact marginalized communities. ]]>

Girl Tech is an annual conference hosted by the National Council of Negro Women which brings together women leaders working in technology and telecommunications. It is designed to educate and empower young women of color who would like to pursue careers in tech as entrepreneurs, researchers, and policymakers. ]]>
<![CDATA[On April 23, 2019, the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) joined multi-cultural allies in protest outside of the U.S. Supreme Court as the nation's highest court heard oral arguments over the Census Bureau’s proposed 2020 citizenship question. Earlier this year, two Federal Courts struck down the Bureau’s decision to include a citizenship question on the decennial census. ]]>
<![CDATA[On April 1, 2019, the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights launched the Census Counts campaign, marking the one year countdown to Census Day 2020. The National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) joined the day of action, encouraging all Latino communities to participate. NHMC also continues to work on expanding digital access, in part, to ensure that Latinos are able to participate in the data collection online.]]>
