NAACP Editing Fellowship

The NAACP Editing Fellowship program, in partnership with Adobe, is a 14-week paid fellowship that includes training, mentorship, and hands-on workplace experience. This Fellowship is for individuals who have some experience with video editing.

If selected, participants will receive:
A $14,000 stipend,
Mentorship and networking opportunities, Adobe Creative Cloud skills training,
A 3-year subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps Plan,
And an opportunity to work on some of the NAACP’s special events, social media and podcast content, video assets, and more.

To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must:
Have 1-2 years of editing experience as an assistant editor or non-union editor,
Be proficient in a professional non-linear editing tool, preferably Adobe Premiere Pro,
Be available to attend the kickoff week in Los Angeles from May 28-31, 2024,
And commit to working part-time for 14 weeks as an NAACP Editing Fellow from May to August 2024.

Disney Branded Television Casting is in Search of their Summer 2024 Intern!

Disney Internships is searching for individuals interested in applying for a Summer internship program.

Disney Branded Television Casting seeks candidates who are passionate and interested in pursuing a career in casting. The internship gives scholars or early career professionals insight into the field of television production. Those who share a passion for helping drive diversity, equity, and inclusion priorities around the market, culture, and people are invited to apply. The pay rate for this internship in Burbank, California is $21.70 per hour.

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program

Calling All Animation Filmmakers and Artists: LALIFF’s Spark Animation Fellowship has Extended their Deadline

The LXiA Spark Animation Fellowship, presented by the Latino Film Institute and sponsored by the Netflix Fund for Creative Equity, is a program that supports emerging and independent Latinx animation filmmakers and artists towards the production of animated short films. The program highlights the creativity and unique voices of the selected fellows and offers them a platform to become key players in the industry.

This year the program will award three visionary artists a grant of $25,000 each. The Fellows will be paired with a producer, and receive mentorship from industry professionals. The completed films will screen at the 2025 Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF), where Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in the festival's various programs to further develop their skills and develop connections.
