Ever wonder about the Mexican American contribution to Pasadena City history? In Roberta H. Martinez’s new book, Latinos in Pasadena, the story is finally told through formal and informal oral histories of the city. Ranging from the Ethnic History Research Project of Pasadena compiled in 1995 to the personal family history of the Martinez family, Roberta pulls from historical research and her own personal activism to bring to the light a truer history of Pasadena. Learn more about this book and it’s author who is also a community advocate, television producer, and most importantly, Chair of Pasadena Latino Coalition.
