The NHMC Television Scriptwriter's Program is designed to familiarize participants with the format, characters and storyline structure of specific shows that are currently on the air. The five-week, *total immersion workshop is mentored and guided by former NBC V.P of Script Development, Geoff Harris and is conducted in Sherman Oaks, CA. A total of 10 writers are accepted nationwide from an established network of non-profit agencies, schools, universities, guilds and media organizations. The goal is that the writers garner the skills necessary to obtain employment in the industry.

The program will be held September 28 - October 30th.

*If accepted into the program you must be willing to take a leave of absence from work or school as the program is a full time commitment Monday-Friday.

How to Apply

Applications are open: April 20 - July 20, 2020 (11:59PM)

Complete an online application, a Walt Disney Television and NBC Universal Release form, submit one writing sample of any type to include, plays, pilots, specs and books in PDF format. Television scripts are preferred.  Please note that writing teams are ineligible. You must be able to show proof of U.S. employment eligibility at the time the program begins. You must be 18 or over to apply.
