NHMC Signs Letter to Debate Moderators to Discuss Broadband

NHMC joined technology and civil rights organization in signing a letter to the moderators of the upcoming presidential debates that requests that the moderators ask the presidential candidates their plans for broadband internet. In the letter sent to moderators Lester Holt, Anderson Cooper, Elaine Quijano, Martha Raddatz, and Chris Wallace, it states, "Since the creation of rail and highway systems, our understanding of infrastructure and critical services has continued to expand. In addition to transportation, electricity, and water, access to affordable high-speed internet is becoming a basic requirement for modern life, from obtaining healthcare and finding a job to connecting communities and participating in our democracy." https://www.nhmc.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Debate-Letter-1.pdf]]>
