Los Emmy 2025 ignoran a los latinos: Más voces denuncian indignados la falta de representación del talento hispano

This week, NHMC’s President and CEO, Brenda Victoria Castillo, released a statement regarding this year's Emmy nominations, which was picked up by Norma Angélica Gómez of US Weekly en Español.

"La National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) emitió un comunicado contundente en el que, si bien felicita a figuras como Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), Colman Domingo (The Four Seasons) y Lorena Pérez Batista (edición de sonido en The Studio), también denuncia la dramática caída en la representación de actores de color este año, la peor en los últimos cinco años.

“Con tantas series y proyectos liderados por personas de color, nuestra comunidad latina merece ser vista, escuchada y reconocida por su excelencia”, declaró Brenda Victoria Castillo, presidenta y CEO de NHMC. “Los miembros votantes de la Academia de Televisión no estuvieron a la altura este año”.
