<![CDATA[The National Hispanic Media Coalition signed-on to a letter addressed to Rep. Goodlatte and Rep. Conyers, Chairman and Ranking Member, respectively, of the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee explaining why the Federal Trade Commission's antitrust authority and the Federal Communications Commission's regulatory authority are both necessary to protect the Open Internet. The letter was made part of the record for the Judiciary Committee's March 25, 2015 hearing entitled: “Wrecking the Internet to Save it? The FCC’s Net Neutrality Rule.” The letter asked that as Congress reviews the new open Internet rules it consider the unique role each agency plays in protecting consumers and the marketplace. Common Cause, Color of Change, Daily Kos, Engine Advocacy, Fight for the Future, Internet Freedom Business Alliance, Open Technology Institute and Public Knowledge also endorsed the letter. http://www.nhmc.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/letter-to-judic-FCC-FTC-auth-Mar242015-correct-1.pdf]]>
