NHMC Congratulates Edith Ramirez, Next FTC Chair

Washington, D.C. - Today White House sources announced that President Obama has decided to elevate current Federal Trade Commissioner (FTC), Edith Ramirez, to chair the agency. The following statement may be attributed to NHMC's President and CEO, Alex Nogales:
"The FTC plays a vital role in preventing unfair, deceptive and anticompetitive business practices. It protects consumers while at the same time promoting lawful business practices. I congratulate President Obama on his decision to appoint Edith Ramirez as the next FTC Chair. Her legal background and keen intellect make her an excellent person for the job."
