From Deadline: Bewitched Series Reboot In Works From Judalina Neira Under Overall Deal With Sony Pictures TV

The National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) congratulates, Judalina Neira, an alumni of NHMC’s Series Scriptwriters Program, on her overall deal with Sony Pictures Television! 

Writer-producer Judalina Neira (The Boys, Daisy Jones and the Six) has signed an overall deal with Sony Pictures Television focused on developing drama series for cable and streaming through her newly launched production company, Famous Last Words Productions. For her first project under the pact, Neira is taking on a signature Sony title, Bewitched. Written by Neira, the new Bewitched is described as an irreverent hour-long reimagination of the classic TV series. She is executive producing alongside The Goldbergs executive producer Doug Robinson and Lauren Moffat of Sony TV-based Doug Robinson Productions.

In Players, Gina Rodriguez is New York sportswriter Mack, who has spent years devising successful hook-up “plays” with her best friend Adam, played by Damon Wayans Jr. While it has led to countless one-night stands over the years, Mack unexpectedly falls for her latest target, charming war correspondent Nick, played by Tom Ellis. As the lines between work, fun, friendship, and romance begin to blur, Mack must learn what it takes to go from simply scoring to playing for keeps.

Marvel Studios has its “Fantastic Four.”

The superhero quartet — the first characters created for Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby — will be played by Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka the Thing).

National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) is a 40+ year old 501(c)(3) non-profit, nonpartisan, civil and human rights organization that was founded to eliminate hate, discrimination, and racism toward Latino and marginalized communities.

We advance Latino visibility and influence from the halls of Washington, D.C., to the studios of Hollywood. We advocate for the Affordable Connectivity Program, Lifeline Program, Net Neutrality protections, and closing the digital divide for Latino and other marginalized communities. NHMC works in partnership with other social justice organizations to safeguard democracy in the United States of America.
