Jose Antonio Vargas’s Dear America: Notes of an Undocumented Citizen is a memoir that delves into the complexities of identity, fear, and belonging through Vargas's eyes. Vargas arrived in the U.S. at the age of 12, hiding in fear until he decided to reveal his status in 2011.

His deeply personal narrative captures the emotional toll of living and working under constant threat of deportation while also wanting to live the “American Dream”. An honest, empathetic, and emotional memoir, it speaks not only to the undocumented experience but to everyone understanding what it means to truly belong.

Available for purchase from HarperCollins Publishers.

A People’s History of the United States is a groundbreaking, eye-opening read that flips the traditional narrative of American history. Questioning everything we learned in school. Instead of glorifying presidents, generals, and war, Zinn centers the voices of the marginalized communities. Centered around Indigenous peoples, enslaved Africans, immigrants, workers, and everyday rebels who shaped this nation from the beginning.

Zinn challenges readers to question the injustices behind the myths, asking us to see history not as one story but a story of living and struggle for justice.  A version of U.S. history that tells the truth even when it's uncomfortable.
