The National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) is media advocacy and civil rights organization for the advancement of Latinos, working towards a media that is fair and inclusive of Latinos, and towards universal, affordable and open access to communications.
NHMC understands that people will be treated as they are perceived, and that Latinos and other people of color have long suffered discrimination at the hands of the media. At the same time, the media can be a powerful tool to transform culture if it prominently and accurately represents diverse people and includes social justice narratives.

We are looking for an individual who has a firm understanding on tech policy issues, wants affordable broadband access for all, and wants to bridge the digital divide for our Latinx community.

The Policy Director identifies NHMC’s policy priorities and develops a strategy to advance the organization’s agenda. The director oversees work on tech policy issues, working in coalition with allied organizations, policymakers, and lawmakers. This position reports directly to NHMC’s President and CEO. Position is located in Washington, D.C.
