Closing the Digital Divide

ACCESS TO THE INTERNET IS A HUMAN RIGHT.

The National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) was a lead organization in creating the Emergency Broadband Benefit program and its extension via the Affordable Connectivity Program.

They successfully advocated for alternate forms of identification documentation accepted in the EBB and ACP to ensure the program is as accessible as possible to all consumers.

NHMC launched a campaign to promote the EBB to Latinx, multi-generational households, including culturally-relevant social media content in English, Spanish, Spanglish, and an OpEd.

2022 GOALS
