NHMC Releases New Video Featuring Writers Program Graduates

new video featuring graduates of the NHMC Television Writers Program, an intensive 5-week workshop that prepares Latinos for writing jobs at major networks.  Created in 2003, the program has graduated 100 writers, 25% of whom have been staffed on shows in networks such as ABC/Disney, NBC, CBS,FOX, Nickelodeon, CW, BET, LATV, VH1 and NUVOtv. By increasing the amount of Latinos working behind the camera, NHMC aims to increase and improve portrayals of Latinos on primetime TV. National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) is a woman-led 501(c)(3) non-profit, nonpartisan, civil and human rights organization that was founded to eliminate hate, discrimination, and racism toward Latino and marginalized communities.

We educate and increase Latino visibility from our policy work in Washington, D.C., to our media advocacy work in Hollywood, where we connect, collaborate, and create with talent within the entertainment industry.

We lead the work to eliminate online hate and disinformation across media platforms.
