This week, Eva Longoria’s Hyphenate Media Group and iHeartRadio’s Latino network My Cultura have announced a new slate of podcast series. These new series,  Against All Odds with Yris Palmer, How Hard Can It Be? with Diana Maria Riva, Who Made You with Eva Longoria, and Bleep! with Ana Navarro, will all be released on iHeartRadio and wherever you get your podcasts. 

Bleep! with Ana Navarro is a new podcast with NHMC Visionary Alliance member Ana Navarro, which opens the door to conversations about the issues shaping our communities and the country. Through thoughtful discussions with decision-makers, political leaders, cultural influencers, and people on the frontlines, Ana creates space for context, clarity, and perspective. At a time when emotions run high and disinformation spreads quickly, this podcast centers dialogue that informs, challenges, and empowers listeners.

The Digital Democracy Institute of the Americas (DDIA) is now accepting applications for the Latinos, Media, and Democracy Program (LMDP) 2026 – The AI Edition.

This is an 8-week capacity-building program designed to equip Latino journalists, content creators, media professionals, and civil society leaders with the tools to navigate the evolving AI landscape. In collaboration with the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab), this year’s program will focus on harnessing AI for reporting, verification, and content creation while centering ethics, bias mitigation, data privacy, and trends shaping Latino engagement in today’s information ecosystem. The program is at no-cost for participants.

DDIA is looking to select twenty participants for this competitive cohort. Participants must meet at least one of the following:

  • Be a  U.S.-based journalist covering politics or elections in the United States
  • Be a Latin America-based journalist covering the 2026 midterm elections in the United States
  • Be a U.S.-based journalist covering entertainment, tech, or social media
  • Be an influencer (with over 5,000 followers) or media producer based in the United States producing content in English and/or Spanish for YouTube or TikTok channels that are geared, at least in part, to Latinos
  • Be a U.S. civil society leader covering or focusing on specific states or cities
  • Be a U.S. civil society leader working on organizing and engaging Latino communities around elections

If you’ve got a creative spark, sharp dialogue, and a story to share, the  Austin Film Festival (AFF) has open applications for its Writers Festival Script Competition.

For 33 years, the Austin Film Festival has championed emerging writers and filmmakers, connected storytellers with industry leaders, and built a thriving creative community. Each year, AFF opens up an opportunity for writers to submit their work for a competition where it is carefully evaluated. Scripts are reviewed by trained readers and submissions that advance are considered by industry judges, identifying top-tier talent across screenplays, teleplays, digital series, podcasts, shorts, and more.
