Straight UP! - LULAC - 11/27/17

Straight UP! gets straight to the point. No tip toeing around subjects and no nonsense. Discussions can be anything and everything related to the human experience, including subjects that people shy away from like religion, sex, and politics. The time is now to get rid of the clutter and just talk Straight UP! This episode has Brenda Nogales interviewing Brent Wilkes, Chief Executive Officer for the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), from Washington D.C. LULAC was formed in 1929 in response to the ethnic cleansing Mexican Americans in the early 1900's. With all the discrimination and hate speech occurring in today's political climate, are we experiencing a resurgence of hate against Mexican Americans and Latinx people over all?]]>

National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) is a woman-led 501(c)(3) non-profit civil and human rights organization that was founded to eliminate hate, discrimination, and racism toward the Latino communities.
