The Online Privacy Act would create a federal privacy agency to protect user rights and enforce violations. It would also make it harder for companies to collect and sell consumer data by placing restrictions on the volume of personally identifiable data companies collect and how the data is utilized. they can do with that data once they have it. The Act would grant every American the right to access, correct, or delete their data and also allow users to decide how long companies can keep their data.
