Leaders Among Us - Jorge Ramos - 3/1/2018

NHMC President & CEO Alex Nogales speaks to prominent leaders in their field to figure out the key to success, whether that be cleverness, ingenuity, hard work, or all of the above. Alex and his guests will uncover what it means to be a leader today.

Emmy award-winning journalist and Univision’s longtime anchorman, Jorge Ramos shares his most personal experience on what it means to be a Latino immigrant, or just an immigrant, in present-day America. Ramos was forcefully removed from an Iowa press conference in 2015 by then-candidate Donald Trump after trying to ask about his plans on immigration. He talks about his recently published book, Stranger: The Challenge of a Latino Immigrant in the Trump Era.

National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) is a woman-led 501(c)(3) non-profit civil and human rights organization that was founded to eliminate hate, discrimination, and racism toward the Latino communities.
