The National Latino Media Council (NLMC) is the most influential Latino media coalition in the nation. It is comprised of the 15 largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organizations in the country including:

- Mexican American Legal Defense & Educational Fund (MALDEF)
- Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF)

- National Association of Latino Elected Officials (NALEO)
- National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP)
- National Council of La Raza (NCLR)
- National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC)
- National Institute for Latino Policy (NiLP)
- National Puerto Rican Coalition
- Nosotros
Created in 1999, NLMC is dedicated to increasing Latino employment in the media industry, at all levels both in front and behind the camera, do away with negative stereotypes, and advocate for media policy that benefits the Latino community. NLMC is also the organization that signed Memorandums of Understanding with ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox which has increased the employment ranks of Latinos and other people of color at all four networks. The Coalition is chaired by former Congressman Esteban Torres.
