Description:

Responsible for operating the iTX Master Control (MCR) automation system. Ingests material into the system, oversees the system while on air, and ensures quality of the system’s output to air. Deals with the centralization Hub in all matters pertaining to the iTX system. Responsible for all ancillaries MCR devices while at work. Fully versed in the operation of the Fox Splicer.  Knows when to deal with it locally or when to communicate with the Hub or with Fox TOC. Handles Live Events such as sports events and breaking news including the Join in Progress that follows.  Identifies and troubleshoots technical problems. Assist News with ENG and Satellite feeds when needed. Maintains high degree of quality control for digital channels. Performs FCC required compliance procedures. Maintains accurate transmitter and QCR logs. Handles calls immediately from viewers with closed captioning and reception concerns. Ability to work unsupervised, as well as part of a team. Associate degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school preferred. A minimum of 2 years’ equivalent experience. Ability to work nights, overtime, weekends and holidays.
