Temporary Coordinating Story Producer General Job Description: Weigel Broadcasting is seeking a creative, organized, resourceful, self-starter with a passion for making great television for a new project focused on a nonfiction, lifestyle series. The freelance producer will work closely for the project duration with a small team producers, crew and talent to assist in the creation of a new national television program that highlights nostalgia, pop culture and history with a celebrity host. The ideal candidate has previous experience with talent, in-the-field shooting, research and scripting. Candidate must have strong writing skills, intellectually curious, highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a strong multi-tasker. We appreciate team players. Duties/Responsibilities: Write episodes of non-fiction format driven television Meticulous research skills, ability to be your own fact checker Organize and coordinate shoot logistics Report to Executive Producer, meet deadlines on shoot needs and later scripts Work with story producers to coordinate shoot needs, editorial details and talent direction shoot days Assist with talent needs during shoot days Strong writing skills to turn production into television Other duties, as assigned. Requirements: Candidate must have previous professional television writing experience. Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of multiple elements of production will be preferred. Flexible schedule for F/T position. 10-weeks through Summer 2019 Proficiency in MS Office is a must. iNews, GV Stratus and Adobe C-Suite experience a plus.
