The Jandoli School of Communication at St. Bonaventure University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor who could teach in the areas of strategic thinking, marketing communications and/or leadership to begin in August 2019, January 2020 or August 2020. The ideal candidate will teach in both the undergraduate strategic communication program and our online graduate programs in integrated marketing communications and strategic leadership. S/he will also have the opportunity to teach during the summer for additional compensation. S/he will advise students, contribute to curriculum and program development, participate in school-wide assessment and accreditation efforts, and provide service and outreach for the Jandoli School, University and community. An applicant for the position should possess the following qualifications: • A terminal degree in communication, leadership, marketing or a related field. We will also consider candidates making substantial progress to a terminal degree. • Significant professional experience in communication that will inform teaching. • An active research agenda that shows promise of scholarly activity and publication. • Teaching experience, particularly online classes. Additionally, candidates who have experience in sports media, visual communication and/or mentoring doctoral students are of interest. We also prefer candidates who have experience with creative (Adobe Suite) and analytics software. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate an appreciation of and respect for the University’s Catholic and Franciscan mission.
